Daniel Gaston Ash is an English musician, musician and singer. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s as the guitarist of the iconic gothic rock band Bauhaus, which spawned two related groups led by Ash: Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets. He recently reunited with teammate Kevin Haskins to form Poptone, a flashback to their respective careers, with Kevin's daughter, Diva Dompe, playing bass. He has also recorded a number of solo albums. Several guitarists have listed Ash as an influencer, including Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro, Soundgarden's Kim Thayil and Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante.
